This classic round clock was inspired by early 20th-Century Post Office clocks made by the Lenzkirch clock factory in Germany, circa 1910. The original round Lenzkirch post office clocks were often up to 16 inches in diameter. This version is a reduced size at just under a 10″ diameter x 1.5″ thick and remains faithful to the overall design style.
This clock will compliment just about any home decor and makes a wonderful gift item.
The project uses just the 1/16″ Carving Bit and the 1/8″ Cutting Bit. No other bits are required.
A 3.5″ clock insert with 5.875” face and 3 .25” mounting diameter is purchased separately. (We used model #15340 or equivalent from http://www.klockit.com) TIP: Purchase and measure your clock insert prior to running the project, so you can adjust the mounting hole size in the project layout if necessary.
This is a BASIC LEVEL project and requires CarveWright Designer version 1.187 or greater.
