This free project allows you to create a simple round box and fitted lid with your CarveWright machine. This is a fun project and demonstrates some of the neat features of the CarveWright Project Designer software tools.
You will see how the “drill” function is used to create the box recess in the box bottom and how simple circular vector paths creates the lip for the fitted box lid. These vector functions save a lot of time compared to using “raster” carve regions. In fact, this saved over an hour’s worth of project time by using the Designer tools in this fashion!
The finished box dimensions are about 5.5″ diameter x 2″ tall.
This is a BASIC LEVEL project and requires CarveWright Designer version 1.187 or above.
